GECS
Project Management Services
GECS expertise in professional project management services puts us on the leading edge of the industry. If you
choose to implement your energy improvements through us, we can manage the total process for you. Our experience ensures that
we integrate design with any permitting requirements, and with construction budgets, and timelines. Project Permitting:
GECS will ensure
that any permits, if required, are obtained efficiently to eliminate any delays in your work. Value Engineering:
Value Engineering is defined as the
application of engineering methods to the study of system values. GECS experience in Value Engineering includes cost analysis for energy improvements in foundation systems,
superstructure systems, architectural systems and Mechanical and Electrical systems. We provide you with a menu of
options, including estimated costs, and prioritize them with estimated pay back periods. You can then make decisions based
on SIR, (savings-to-investment ratio), to optimize your investment dollars. In other words, you will be able to spend your
money in the most cost-effective way for you. Cost Estimating and Budgeting:
Under the Project Management option,
we will seek multiple bids from subcontractor specialists, and develop a total estimated cost for energy improvements. GECS
is fully automated by the use of R.S. Means COSTWORKS, and Quantum Project Management
software, both state-of-the-art systems. This technology, along with current database information, will assure accurate and
up to date cost estimates. Scheduling:
Project schedules are critical to meeting project goals. GECS
expertise in Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling, using Microsoft Project software, ensures that a
project will meet its timeline goals. Once project master scheduling is completed and construction is underway, weekly
updates are performed to ensure that milestone dates are met.
